The global sports apparel market – which includes girls activewear – is currently worth more than 200 billion dollars. The growth of the activewear market has actually outpaced the growth of traditional apparel companies for the past few years and shows no signs of slowing down.
While pop culture and influencer promotion has contributed to the fashion-meets-fitness sweet spot that is girls activewear, this shift has also been driven by the fact that people are exercising more as well as the availability of better athletic fabrics thanks to advances in technology.

Girls Activewear Made From Recycled Fabrics
Since our launch, we have chosen to construct the majority of our Bon+Co kids swimwear using sustainable REPREVE® recycled fabrics.
We are proud to offer an alternative to garments constructed from traditional ‘sports’ fabrics derived from virgin plastic that lessons, even by a little, the impact the fashion industry has on the environment. By using fabrics like REPREVE® that are made from recycled plastic bottes that would otherwise end up in landfill, we are actively trying to be part of the solution for our planet’s waste problem. Recycled REPREVE® yarns are made using techniques that emit fewer greenhouse gasses, whilst conserving energy.
But these fabrics don’t rest of their recyclable laurels. They are genuinely high quality and high performance in their own right. They hold colour beautifully and they feel amazingly lovely to touch and wear, wet or dry.
They also have some truly amazing properties that make them an ideal fabric for crafting swimwear.
The very same properties happen to make for crafting great activewear.

Perfect for land, water, and sports activities, our Tropicale Leggings feature unique & exclusive prints, hand-painted in luscious watercolours by our Brisbane-based in-house designer. The tropical pineapple print of the Tropicale Capri Girls Activewear Leggings was inspired by lush tropical rainforest foliage and sweet summer fruits.
Our girls activewear leggings are a classic fit with a ¾ length Capri style leg and a silicon label logo trim to complete the high-performance look.
Made for movement and fun in the sun, our girls activewear fabrics have been treated with the gold standard for sun protection – UPF 50+ for maximum protection from harmful UV rays. Our Tropicale Capri Girls Activewear Leggings are also treated for chlorine and pilling resistance. We custom make our girls activewear specifically for tweens and teens in sizes 8-16, taking developing and different body shapes into consideration.
